Floyd Connor, well known farmer of the Spring Creek section is reported as resting well at the Marshall Community hospital, following a recent operation, after he was rushed to the hospital suffering from a fractured skull and other injuries received when he was struck by flying stones scattered by an explosion while engaged in blasting near his home. Mr. Connor, it is said, had lighted the fuse and retired to what he considered a safe distance, when

It seems that a miracle was done at Bluff the 13th day of December. Little Burgess Conner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Conner, who has always been a cripple, never walked a step till Friday morning, Dec. 13th. He went to walking and has walked ever since. He was seven years, nine months and eleven days old that day. We hope his health will increase and that sometime he will be as strong as his little twin sister, Buenna.
Little Dortha Connor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Connor, has been ill for two weeks with blood poison caused from a small burn on her knee. She is improving now.

Dorothy Ann Tinsley
ROCK HILL – Dorothy Ann Conner Tinsley, 74, wife of Jesse B. Tinsley, of 1027 Ridgemont Road, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002 at Wake Forest University Hospital.
A native of Hot Springs, NC. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ora Waldrop Conner. An employee of Celanese for 28 years, she was a member of West End Baptist Church and the Order of the Easter Star, Starlight Chapter 243.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Pam Wilson of Rock Hill and Wanda Tinsley of Greenwood; a brother, Floyd Conner, Jr. of Concord, NC; a sister Geraldine Hudson of Kannapolis, NC; and two grandchildren.
Services are 2pm Wednesday at West End Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike Lowery. Burial is in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Visitation is 7-8:30 tonight at Green Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.
